CHEAPO DEPOT
A FAST PACED ARCADE GAME WHERE THE PLAYER MUST SCALP AS MUCH ITEMS AS POSSIBLE BEFORE THE STORE CLOSES
Cheapo Depot is an arcade game developed by a team of four for a university game jam of 5 days, the theme of the jam was "take one, and leave the rest".

The player takes control of a character who wakes up late on Black Friday, a day where they buy a lot of discounted stock to then sell online later, however they woke up late. The player must ride around on a shopping cart flatbed, for speed, and get as much items as they can before the store closes in three minutes. However as they are sat on the cart only one item can be collected at a time meaning the player must take one item, leave the rest, and race to the checkout to get more items before they're all sold out.

The games movement is easy to learn but hard to master as it uses the paddles of a game controller. When pressed in the player will move forward and in the direction of left or right at the same time meaning they will need to move like rowing a kayak, using left and right intermediately. Once the basics are down the player can start drifting and combining different movement and turns to maintain speed while going around the store.
